The 2011 Harvest Festival

Wow, what a day! Blue skies and sunshine – after days of drizzle, crowds of interested visitors and a huge effort from the garden and wider community all added up to a very successful festival and fun for all.

A happy face says what all felt

We had (in no particular order) stalls for

  • Entertainment – music by various groups
  • Flowers
  • Guess the number of seeds in a jar competition (Little Bendigo Primary School)
  • Face Painting
  • Lucky Dip
  • Produce
  • Plants
  • Second hand books
  • Trash and treasure
  • Tea, coffee and cake
  • Sausage sizzle
  • Lemonade
  • Fruit salad
  • Wood fired pizzas
  • Storytelling
  • Ballarat Permaculture Guild
  • BREAZE Sustainability Centre
  • BCG information including displays from the Sails andĀ  St. Alipius garden groups

and of course

the star of the show – theĀ  garden itself looking thriving and luscious

(Please forgive if I have inadvertently left anyone out – please use our contact form or ring a committee member to get the list amended).

But for now, WELL DONE EVERYONE!

The hamper raffle was won by Vanessa, one of the musos who so kindly donated their time.

Overall, we raised in the vicinity of $4,000 towards our club room project.
